2024 Piedmont Predators Spring Select Teams
The Spring Selects program is designed for competitive players. It is strongly recommended for players who plan to try out for our 2024-2025 fall teams.
Tryouts for our 2024-2025 fall teams will be held March 19-21 for 8U, 10U, and 12U and April 27-28 for 14U, 16U, and 18U. All girl’s tryouts will be held April 27-28.
We expect to field multiple teams at each age level, from 8U to 18U. The Spring Select teams will use the 2024-2025 USA Hockey age levels as follows:
8U – 2016-2017
10U – 2014-2015
12U – 2012-2013
14U – 2010-2011
16U – 2008-2009
18U – 2006-2007

Teams will participate in 11 (10 for 8U, 10U, and 12U) weekly practices, starting the week of March 11. Teams will participate in one or more tournaments (one tournament fee is included in program fee). Likely tournament selections are the Prince William CCM Showdown in early May, and the Iceworks Memorial Day Tournament in Aston, PA. Spring Select teams will wear their regular season jerseys and socks.
The tentative practice schedule is listed below. The number of teams fielded after tryouts may cause slight changes in this schedule.

Practice schedule is subject to change, based primarily upon the number of teams rostered.
Head coaches will be announced prior to tryouts where possible. If you are interested in being considered for a head coaching position please contact Ron Evans at revans@haymarketiceplex.com.
The tryout fee is $65.00. The program fee is $475.00. Upon registering for the tryout, you will be required to pay both the tryout and program fee. The tryout fee is non-refundable. If a player is selected to a team, the program fee is non-refundable. Players who are not selected to teams will be refunded the program fee shortly after team selections.
