The Piedmont Predators 19U AA Girls team won the PVAHA Championship this past weekend.  Piedmont bested the Tri-City Eagles 3-2 in the Championship game.  Samara Metz, Autumn Frear and Ella Phillips scored for the Predators.  Net minder Liz Moller turned aside 31 of 33 shots.  In round robin play, Piedmont lost to Tri City 5-3, beat the Montgomery Blue Devils 7-1 and beat the Reston Raiders 5-2.  With the PVAHA Championship win, the Piedmont 19U girls advance to the USA Hockey Southeast District Tournament which will be held at Ashburn, Haymarket and Ion March 4-6.  The winners at the Southeast District Tournament earn a berth in the USA Hockey National Tournament held in West Chester, PA March 31 - April 4.
