The Piedmont Predators 19U AA Girls team captured the CBHL Playoff Championship on Sunday in Frederick, MD.  Piedmont beat the Tri-City Eagles 3-1 in the Championship game.  Polina Zubarev, Zaneta Kocourkova and Kara Wann scored for the Predators.  Liz Moller stopped 20 out of 21 shots.  Piedmont beat Montgomery 6-0 in the semifinal game.  Goals were scored by Kara Wann, Autumn Frear (2), Emily Permut, Polina Zubarev and Zaneta Kocourkova.  Maggie Cowden turned away all 9 shots. Piedmont will play in the USA Hockey Southeast District Tournament held next weekend at Ashburn, Haymarket and Ion.
