The Piedmont Predators are proud to announce that two players from the 2015/2016 Squirt Navy team, composed of all 2006 birth year players, will represent the club this summer at one of the most prestigious youth hockey tournaments in North America.

Daniel Daggett, and Lucas Schaefer, are headed to the 27th annual Brick Invitational in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada after making the cut on Team Pennsylvania, as this region’s representative team.

The Brick invitational tournament hosts 14 teams made up of the top 10-year olds from across North America annually at West Edmonton Mall.  The Piedmont Hockey Club is ecstatic that two players who started with Piedmont as Mini-Mites have been selected for this honor. “It’s great to see two kids who grew up Piedmont, make it to such prestigious event” said Coach Chuck Robinson, who has coached both boys since their days as Mini-Mites.

This season, Daggett, a goalie for the Predators posted an impressive 30-11-6 record to include 8 shutouts.  Daniel's impressive record also included a stingy 1.89 GAA and a save percentage of .867. Schaefer, a defenseman for the Predators, led all defensemen in scoring and was fourth overall in scoring with 47 points, tallying 19 goals and 28 assists. Both players were selected from more than 50 players from the Pennsylvania area that were invited to try out for the team, and Daggett is one of two goaltenders to make it through a rigorous selection.

Congratulations Daniel and Luc, the entire program is proud of your accomplishment!
