The Piedmont Predators PeeWee Navy team won the championship game with a decisive 5-2 victory over the Ashburn Selects.  Colin Battles was an anchor in the net all weekend turning in two shutout performances in 5 games. Piedmont Navy outshot their opponents 138 to 64 resulting in a 22 to 9 ratio of goals scored.

Every member of the team contributed mightily to the effort allowing for the following stats: top points went to Grace Romeo with 4 goals and 2 assists.  Captain Bryce Rodgerson scored 4 goals with 1 assist, while both Assistant Captain Garrett Dziekan and Ian Murray scored 3 goals and gave 2 assists.  Defense was held impressively by true Predators Colin Palmer, Audrey Ziff, Sydney Staples and Sean McInnis. It was truly a complete team effort with every skater earning at least one point.

Coach Dayn Smith commented “For me as a coach, it was most satisfying to see the joy in their accomplishment as well as the sparkle in their eyes that says, ‘Yes, I see what we can accomplish together when we all bring our best.’”
