Rachel Ziff started her hockey career playing for other local programs.  For the 2012-2013 season, she made a change and became a Piedmont Predator.  Over the past 3 seasons, Rachel has benefited tremendously from Piedmont’s high practice to game ratio, and smaller roster sizes, giving her many more ice touches than she would have otherwise gotten.  This, combined with the program’s weekly power skating and off-ice training program, has led to a rapid development path for Rachel.

During her time at Piedmont, Rachel was selected for the USA Hockey Multi-District 11-13 year old camp in both 2013 and 2014. She recently competed at the Southeastern District USA Hockey Player Development Camp tryouts and was selected for the Select 14 Regional Player Development Camp (formerly the Select 14 National Camp) and was one of only 2 defensemen selected to represent the Southeast district.

For the 2015-2016 season, Rachel, who is still U14, has earned a spot, playing up, on the Tier 1 Washington Pride U16 women’s team. Best of luck Rachel!
