The Predators Mite Sky traveled to Aston PA over Presidents Day weekend to participate in the Aston Iceworks Presidents Day Tournament.  The youngest bunch of the Predators travel teams went undefeated with a record of 4-0 during the weekend and brought home a trophy that was as big as most of the players.

The Predators weekend got started on Saturday morning with a dominating victory over the Jr. Royals from Wyomissing PA. The Predators dominated their opponent on both ends of the ice walking away with a 15-6 victory and a 1-0 tournament record.

Keeping the momentum rolling, the Predators faced off again on Saturday afternoon against tournament host Delco Phantoms, where the young team would face their toughest challenge of the weekend. After scoring two quick goals to go up 2-0, the Predators found themselves trailing 7-4 at the halfway point needing a rally. After a quick talk from the coaching staff and some much needed support from the Predator faithful, the boys roared back winning the game 8-7 putting their place in the finals in their own hands.

On Sunday, the Predators needed a win or a tie against the Grundy Senators from Bristol PA to secure their place in the finals. The Predators once again came out flying scoring early and never looking back as net minder Daniel Daggett recorded his first career shutout with a 6-0 victory, sealing the Predators place at the top seed in the tournament and securing a rematch against the home town favorite Delco Phantoms.

The Predators went into the championship game knowing they had to bring their best, and that is just what our littlest Predators did, jumping out to early lead 3-0 before slamming the door shut in the second half with solid defense and continued offense, sealing the victory with a score of 8-4 putting yet another mite trophy in the Predators inventory.
