It was a totally crazy President's Day weekend! The Predator Navy team marched up north to Aston, PA to take on some competition at the IceWorks Ice House. After some fun time with team mates Friday evening, early to bed, early to rise for the first game against the Long Beach Apple Core team to kick off the tourney. Navy's first win ensued after some great passing plays and cool goaltending. A little break before the next game versus the Jersey Shore Wildcats where the play was very different and our Preds came up short at the buzzer after coming back from a deficit two times! Hard fought game; the boys played with courage, heart, and a never-give-up attitude. The Preds had a great team dinner and more fun with friends before another early bed time. Back at the rink to compete against the Hollydell Havoc Red team bright and early Sun, the Preds seemed tired and not as high motor. Some good defense and super goals when needed allowed for a very important win and Ethan receiving another huge shut-out. Three teams had a 2-1 record; because the Preds had the least goals against of all three teams (only 7!), 2nd place was given and a chance at the PW Panthers for the championship title. Although the boys absolutely deserved to be in the game and were excited to play, the tired heaviness plagued the team during the game and the boys were a little tight throughout, which kept them from playing the Preds' typical dominating style. The Panthers were faster and hungry to win.

In closing, to quote the Coach, "While the final game didn't go our way, the boys did a fantastic job all weekend and once again found themselves in contention to take home the championship!" We are all extremely proud of the Predator Navy Team!
