FINAL INFORMATION – FREE GEAR FOR 8 AND UNDER

 

The NHL and the Washington Capitals have released to the Predators the final program eligibility information and required registration procedures for free ice hockey gear for age 8 and Under  participants.

Eligible participants must be new to ice hockey and not have participated previously in organized league activity.  All must register for and complete a 6 week Learn to Play (Hockey) course of instruction at a participating ice rink.  Our Haymarket Iceplex is a participating activity.  Program registration for all participants is via a master registration portal at

As stated on the portal, the initial Learn to Play Hockey course at the Haymarket Iceplex will begin on Tuesday, September 6th 2016 and recur each successive Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00-6:00pm through October 13th.   Registration and  the  $159. Participation fee for this course can be be made only on the registration portal.

Following registration, the Capitals will provide the Predators with participant contact information.  We will contact you with equipment sizing information and determine a date/time for final equipment fit out at the Iceplex.  Coach Leo Mullin, the Piedmont Predator House Hockey Director, is responsible for local implementation of the Learn to Play (LTP) program.  For more information, contact Leo directly at coachleo43@gmail.com.

We ask that eligible prospective participants sign up at their earliest opportunity, but before September 1st, 2016, to enable the process to be completed prior to the first ice date.
