What a difference a few months make!  At April tryouts, Coach Mark Hill was looking at a pool of 9 skaters and 1 goalie for the Piedmont Predators U18 team:  Andrew Bayer, Ben Bayer, Jake Fletcher (G), Jack Hesse, Flynn Ireland, Anthony Johnson, Alex Lehman, Hunter Price, Matthew Shellberg, and John Shevlin.  Over the course of the summer and even into the season Coach Hill was able to add:  Edwin Booth, Robert Cohn, Jared Dinwiddie, Patrick Husband, Patrick McGowan, Nick Montgomery, and Hunter Schultz.

It was a group of players from various organizations, some who had never played travel hockey before.  They came together, formed a tight bond, and finished the CBHL regular season with a first place, 13-3-2 record.  Then they capped that off with a season ending CBHL playoff championship, bringing Piedmont it's first two ever CBHL banners.
